ITANAGAR, Dec 4: Reiterating its demand, Mere Vichar Andolan Committee today sought immediate enquiry on former Chief Minister late Kalikho Pul’s suicide case that has been referred to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Addressing reporters at press club today, Convener MVAC, Kaling Tasing said the state government has referred the case to MHA but till date no response has come.
‘The state government who always claim of transparent governance should welcome such investigation and there should be promptness on the process of enquiry so that the truth is unveiled. Though our demands for enquiry are based on written declaration of corruption in the 60 pages note but we also welcome enquiry on Late Pul during his regime if anyone doubts his loyalty,’ added Tasing while responding to query by reporters.
Tasing further added ‘MVAC is also seeking fair enquiry against the last wife of late Pul, Dasanglu Pul who is an MLA and who is still silent on the whole issue besides our demand for returning Rs 4 crore to the family members of late Pul , resignation of CM Pema Khandu, Deputy CM Chowna Mein and Parliamentary Secretary PD Sona.’
‘We are anticipating that she (Dasanglu) must be hand in glove in the whole episode that’s why she is keeping mum on the death of her husband, whereas the first widow Dangwimsai and her son are fighting tooth and nail to confer justice to late Pul,’ he asserted.
MVAC also expressed resentment over the dual attitude of state government for not invoking Arunachal Pradesh Unlawful Prevention Act against AAPSU and political Party like Congress for calling bandh.
‘It is only MVAC on whom state government is imposing APUAP Act to suppress the democratic voice,’ he said.
Meanwhile, MVAC also condemned Chief Minister Pema Khandu for using derogatory remark in the State Assembly.
