ITANAGAR, Jun 13: Expressing resentment over the comments made by the state BJP chief, Tapir Gao against the ‘Mere Vichar Andolan committee’ during its Sabka sath sabka vikash sammelan held on Monday last, members of  MVAC today has sought apology from Gao, terming  the comments immature and baseless.

Gao in his presidential address on Monday alleged that the said organization is illegal and their demands are politically motivated.

While speaking to reporters at press club today, Convener MVAC Kaling Tasing opined that such statement from a seasoned politician is not at all expected especially when he knows the crux of the issue. ‘We are not related to any political party but we are here only to confer justice to the people’s Chief Minister late Kalikho Pul,’ he added while demanding public apology from Gao.

The committee further resolved to continue its movement and announced to stage a dharna in front of the official bungalow of the Government Spokesperson, PD Sona.

Further clarifying on the recent setback from Delhi high court, Tasing divulged that the committee has never filed any petition in any court in the country. ‘Moreover the recent case in Delhi court is also not in their knowledge and was filed by some unknown lawyers that too without the consent of the actual party,’ he added.

Condemning the statement made by Gao, Spokesperson MVAC, Tarh Atung asserted that few people in power are trying hard to sabotage their movement. ‘The recent incident at Namsai where the Deputy Commissioner strictly warned us  not to use any slogan against  Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and even few of their supporters pelted stones to turn the peaceful rally violent proves this point,’ he claimed.
