NAHARLAGUN, May 23: The Child Welfare Committee (CWC) in collaboration with labour department and Naharlagun Police rescued a 13 year old girl child from a rented house near Polo Park today. The child has been identified as Deepa Mudi hailing from Jopubari, Biswanath Chariali, Assam,.

Speaking to the media, Labour officer Lee Ete informed  that the CWC received a letter from the Childline ltanagar and acting on the information the team rescued the child.

The girl had been brought and sold by two unknown women at Rs 22,000 to her employer three months back and since then she is working in the said house, informed  labour officer  while revealing  that  bruises on her face and cut mark on her left finger and several other wounds on her body was found.
