DIRANG, Oct 24: In a poignant reflection of its flagship initiative Ek Aur DUA -a movement dedicated to spreading goodwill, compassion, social harmony, and communal unity - a delegation from Dream for United Arunachal, led by Chairman Dr. Gumjum Haider, visited the newly consecrated Jangchub Chorten and Memorial Peace Park erected in loving memory of Late Jambey Tashi, former MLA of 3-Lumla (Lungla) Assembly Constituency.
During the visit, the delegation paid deep obeisance at the sacred shrine, bowing in reverence to honour the enduring legacy and selfless public service of the departed leader. In a solemn atmosphere, prayers were offered for the eternal peace of Late Jambey Tashi’s soul.
A deeply moving highlight of the visit was the delegation’s interaction with the bereaved family members. Spreading warmth, empathy, and solidarity, Dr. Gumjum Haider shared personal memories and reflected on his close bond with Late Jambey Tashi. Dr. Haider recalled him not only as a visionary leader dedicated to the welfare of his people, but also as a cherished brother and guiding light whose commitment to community development and unity remains an enduring inspiration.
Speaking on the occasion, the DUA leadership reiterated that Late Jambey Tashi’s tireless efforts toward regional peace and grassroots empowerment perfectly align with the core ethos of Ek Aur DUA. The team reaffirmed its pledge to carry forward his ideals of unity, harmony, and selfless service across Arunachal Pradesh.
Later, members of Dream for United Arunachal met Dirang MLA and Advisor to PWD Phurpa Tsering to discuss state unity and long-term developmental goals. Emphasizing that leaders represent the entire state rather than specific communities, MLA Tsering praised the team's unified vision. The discussion highlighted Arunachal Pradesh's significant economic growth and improved road infrastructure under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu, while stressing the need for positive behavioural shifts - such as promoting ease of doing business and environmental preservation - to realize the vision of a fully developed state by 2047.
Commending the team's dedicated efforts, MLA Phurpa Tsering extended his best wishes to DUA and announced that he would join the team during the second phase of their tour to Eastern Arunachal.
Continuing their journey toward Tawang, team DUA also visited Sela Top and Jang Waterfall to spread the core core motives of the Ek Aur DUA initiative. Interacting with tourists and local residents along the route, the delegation actively promoted the universal messages of empathy, kindness, and mutual respect, reaffirming their commitment to building a harmonious and united Arunachal Pradesh.
