Dr NT Rikam, Principal of Dera Natung Govt.College presented the statistical analysis of students’ performance in the recently held RGU Examination. He lauded the achievement made by the college in the recent past especially, Library Automation, Online Admission System, etc.

 

Speaking on the occasion as Special Guest,  Vijay Sonam, alumnus of the  college, appealed to students to meet the demand of the time and educate themselves well so that any challenges thrown at them may be faced valiantly. He has expressed his happiness in sponsoring cash prize for Principal’s Merit Award to be given away to the toppers of BA, B.Com and B.Sc. of the College every year.

 

While speaking on the occasion as Chief Guest, Dr. Joram Begi lauded the student achievers and requested the audience to work hard for themselves and wait for their turn to receive the prize one day. 

 

During the Felicitation Programme earlier in the morning, fifteen (15) toppers of BA, B.Com, B.Sc. I to V Semesters under Students’ Academic Promotion Credit (SAPC) Scheme and 22 top ten rank holders in the recently held Rajiv Gandhi University Examination 2018 were felicitated. Principal’s Merit Award for BA, B.Com and B.Sc. were adjudged to Jobom Siram, Tana Pina and Dai Tami respectively.

 

Under the non-academic awards category, Takpi Gameh and  Tame Papey (former students) were felicitated as Best NSS Volunteers Boys & Girls respectively for the session 2017-18. Kenyir Ete, BA V Semester (History) students, who were awarded President’s Commendation Certificate for Second Best Cadets Awards representing North East Regional Directorate, NCC Shillong recently and holder of NCC ‘C’ Certificate was presented citation documenting all her journey & achievements being a brilliant NCC Cadet.

 

Joram Aniya Tana, Assistant Professor, Hindi who was awarded prestigious ‘Vishwa Hindi Samman’ for her contribution in promoting the Hindi language by the President of Mauritius was also felicitated.
