Roing, Aug 17: A district level meeting of the District Health Society, Lower Dibang Valley was held here to discuss the Mukhya Mantri Rogi Kalyan Kosh (MMRKK) scheme. 
 
The scheme aims to provide decentralized planning at the district level, provide a flexible pool of resource for the maintenance of District Hospital, CHCs/ PHCs and bridge the critical infrastructure gap to improve the quality of health care. 
 
Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom, addressing the members present said that priority should be given to provide electricity  and water connections, drinking water facility, toilets, proper roofing and internet connectivity in the health care centres of the district. She also called for the need to conduct health camps, provide guidance and counselling to drug addicts for de-addiction, procurement of medicines, etc.
 
DMO Dr. R. Tatan informing about the guidelines for the MMRKK as mentioned in the budget, said that although the finalised guidelines have not been notified, a tentative action plan for the lower Dibang Valley district has been prepared and kept ready. He also presented in detail the provisions of the scheme through a Power Point presentation.
