BASAR, Jun 7:The office of legal service authority, Basar on Tuesday organized a one day legal awareness camp at old Bam village, wherein the resources persons sensitized villagers and spread knowledge about their legal rights and duties.

On the occasion, Advocate, K.bam spoke on compensation under victim compensation scheme, 2011 and compensation under motor accident cases, while Advocate Mimar Basar, spoke on Assam frontier (administration of justice) regulation, 1945 and POSCO act 2012 and Advocate, Riba dwelled on protection of women from domestic violence.

Chairman, DLSA cum additional district and session’s judge elaborated on punishment under NDPS Act, 1985 and duties of villagers to prevent drug trafficking, benefits of settlements of cases through lok adalats, meditation and conciliation.

He exhorted all the needy people to avail free legal help through legal aid clinic opened at Basar and Aalo.
