TEZU, Sep 5: One-day awareness camp cum distribution of kits to the registered workers of Arunachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board was organised by the labour and employment office, Tezu today.
The programme was attended by Dr Mohesh Chai, Minister,r AHV, Horti, Agri, Fisheries and Sports and Youth Affairs as the chief guest, DC, Karma Leki, SP, Dr DW Thongdok, SDO(S), K. Karmakar, President and Secretary of the workers union and all the registered workers of both organised and unorganised sectors.
At the outset, District Labour and Employment officer, Tezu, Lee Ete highlighted various benefits provided by the construction workers welfare board to the registered labourers of both organised and unorganised sectors and the process to get enrolled as a registered labourer.
Chief guest, Mohesh Chai spoke on the empowerment of the labour sector both socially and economically.
TV sets, blankets, solar lamps, boots, mosquito nets and raincoats were distributed to all registered workers.
