NAMSAI, Jun 12:Commissioner (Finance, Investment & Power) Ashish Kundra on Monday chaired a meeting to discuss the various ongoing hydro power projects including those projects managed by DHPD, besides reviewing various developmental activities going in eight districts of Eastern Zone.

Chief Engineer(Power), Chief Engineer (Hydro power) GM(NABARD), all DC’s, DPO , DIO (Industry), DTO (Textile), Dy Director ( Agriculture), Deputy Director(planning), SE(Power) , SE(Hydropower) from  eight districts were present on the occasion. 

.At the very onset of the meeting, Commissioner, Kundra took stock of prevailing power scenario of the districts and its further potentiality and directed the HoDs to ensure timely completion of all Central Sponsored Schemes and state power projects and to cover all un-electrified villages of districts.

Kundra also advised DC’s to keep their district in readiness to start DBT in a short period for all subsidy related schemes especially in Public Distribution System which will immensely benefit the beneficiaries.

He also urged all DC’s to activate official website and upload all information of the district as well as detail of every schemes being executed for the purpose of public information and transparency. 

In the meeting, Chief Engineer (Power), Chief Engineer (Hydro power) SE (power) and hydropower elucidated the progress and target achieved so far and explained to the commissioner about hurdles being faced to complete the task within time frame.

All the Deputy Commissioners attending the meeting presented various developmental activities at length in the sector of Agriculture, Industries, and Handloom& Textile in respect of their districts through PPT.

Earlier on arrival at Namsai on Sunday, Kundra visited newly constructed District Mini Secretariat Building, under construction Multipurpose Cultural hall, Stadium complex, Namsai.
