TAWANG, Jun 8: Lumla becomes the district's first sub-division, to be equipped with a Jan Suvidha Kendra, as Parliamentary Secreatary for RWD and Skill Development, Jambey Tashi snapped the ribbon at Lumla ADC office, today.

Crediting the establishment of the Kendra to Lumla ADC RD Thungon,  Jambey expressed optimism that the Kendra shall prove a boon for the common man wherein people can avail services like xerox, lamination, printing and affidavits at nominal charges. He urged the administration to propagate the news among the masses for maximum outreach.

Lumla ADC RD Thungon apprised the entourage that the prime objective behind the Jansuvidha Kendra is to assist the illiterate and weaker section of society.

 " The kendra will be manned by three staff and Certificates for Schedule Tribe,  Permanent Residence, Birth and Death, Income and Inner Line permits shall be issued from the kendra,  thus also saving the effort and time of the applicants", he informed.

 Thereon, Jambey, who is also the local MLA, convened a meeting of HoDs, Public leaders and PRI leaders at the chamber of the ADC.

Further, he informed that Lumla will be equipped with a Sub-Treasury very soon and creation of  a CO office at Pamghar and upgradation of Zemithang CO office to EAC office is also in the pipeline.

Dudunghar CO Nawang Thutan, Lumla ZPM Lobsang Younten and Multi Anchal Chairperson Namgey Tsering also attended the meeting amongst other.
