TANAGAR, Jun 13:Itafort health unit which is the lone government health unit in Itanagar area today achieved milestones by starting Laboratory facilities and Minor OT cum Family Planning facilities after it was formally inaugurated by DC Capital Prince Dhawan. The works were carried out using DC untied fund at his personal initiative.

 With this, the health unit will render facilities of all the routine examination that a patients requires and further the test will be provided free of cost to pregnant , elderly , TB and Malaria suspected patients.

While assuring more support, Prince Dhawan expressed his commitment towards holistic development of Health sector and further suggested for the need of Ambulance services for the poor including computerised registration and online data generation of disease profile in order to align with the concept of digital India so as to make all the transaction cashless.

On the first day itself the Itafort lab Unit has also launched Free Hepatitis Screening week and performed 150 tests free of cost.
