Likabali, Dec 10: The Indian Army is conducting a motivational and educational tour for students from government schools of the remote border village of Tuting. The initiative aims to provide adolescents from geographically isolated areas with meaningful exposure to premier national institutions and aspirational career pathways, reflecting the Army’s commitment to youth empowerment and national integration.
Students aged 13 to 17 years from Secondary School and Govt Higher Secondary School, Tuting will visit leading institutions in Dehradun including Indian Military Academy (IMA), Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Forest Research Institute (FRI) and Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) to gain insights of leadership, discipline, scientific research, public service and academic excellence.
The event which was flagged off at Likabali Military Station also includes visits to cultural sites and market places enabling students to experience social diversity and build confidence beyond their traditional environment.
The Indian Army remains dedicated to initiatives that strengthen the Army-civil connect and foster holistic development in remote border regions, a DIPRO report stated.
