ITANAGAR, Aug 13: The  Itanagar Market Welfare Association (IMWA) has urged the concerned authority to replace the incumbent Deputy Commissioner of Capital Complex  “for his failure to execute his duty properly” in the Capital Complex.
Addressing newspersons here today, Joint Secretary, IMWA, Gida Majik alleged that since he took over as the Deputy Commissioner, the DC has failed to execute the four lane highway project in Itanagar. Moreover, after dissolution of Itanagar Municipal Council, he has failed to pay the salaries of various workers assigned by the NGOs under the supervision of District Administration Capital Complex.
DC Capital couldn’t be reached for his comments on the allegatio

Meanwhile, In terms of reducing the RoW as claimed by the AAMTF, Deputy commissioner, Prince Dhawan clarified that there was nothing as such and he had provided all the requisite land as asked by the state’s public works department (PWD).
The PWD engineers were on site when the evictions took place, however, if more land or space is needed, I am ready to provide them the same, said Dhawan.

In terms of allegations on misappropriating land compensation funds and made payments against structures which either are still standing or partially removed, the DC said the compensation amounts were never assessed by him, but were done so by his predecessor and he only disbursed the same without making a single change.
There is no complaint or controversy in the highway work. In fact this is the only stretch of TAH where work is going on transparently, he said further asserting that he had not taken a single leave for the past 6 months and whenever he was out of station it was only for official work.
The AAMTF has also alleged Dhawan of being irregular to office.
