ITANAGAR, Aug 31: Nabam Nati, 75, mother of Nabam Jose, Chief Advisor, Itanagar Market Welfare Association (IMWA) expired this morning at RKM Hospital, Itanagar. She was popularly known and affectionately addressed ‘Maa’ in whole of Sagalee area. She was also popularly known amongst women folk as Lady Nightingale of the area, as she had saved many pregnant women by helping them for a normal delivery.
IMWA President Yumlam Achung has extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for courage to face the great loss.
As a mark of respect to the departed soul, the business communities of Itanagar downed their shutters today till noon.
