ITANAGAR, Aug 29: The Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Complex, Talo Potom launched a uniform sign board of all the 123 Fair Price Shops (FPS) and 34 SKO retailers of three administrative circles under Itanagar Capital Complex in his office today.  
DFCSO Amit Bengia informed that the signboard has been especially designed for the consumers and inspecting officials to easily identify the Fair Price shops. Each of the signboards has details of license number, authorized location, name of FPS and contact numbers of FPS dealer and District Grievance Redressal Officer (DGRO). 
Any aggrieved valid ration card holder can drop sms/WhatsApp message to DGRO for grievance if any, he further informed.
All-Capital Complex Fair Price Shop Dealers’ Welfare Association (ACCFPSDWA) President Bamang Apa informed that FPS dealers  purchase Antodaya Anna Yojna and Priority Household  foodgrains @ Rs 3 per Kg and sell it to the identified beneficiaries @ Rs 3 per Kg since implementation of NFSA in Arunachal Pradesh. But no dealers’ margin has been released since November 2018, which they are entitled to at Rs 1.43 per kg. He also informed that no transit loss of foodgrains during loading and unloading are compensated to the FPS dealers due to which they are facing untold financial hardships to run the FPS.
Advisor ACCFPSDWA -cum- member state level vigilance and monitoring committee Tarh Miri lauded the works carried out by the Fair Price Shop dealers across the state during national lockdown last year against all odds. He informed that when all the supply chains were halted, the PDS network continued to operate. PDS network was the only supply chain of the essential ration commodities including medicines and health workers in the state especially at air fed areas. He also informed that many FPS dealers got infected with Covid-19 while serving consumers and expressed disappointment that no incentive or recognition has been made to the selfless workers. No PPE kits were made available to the essential service providers like FPS dealers, PDS transporters, officers/ officials of the Food & Civil Supplies department. 

On behalf of the association, he further requested the DC to take up the matter to the state government to allocate PDS items based on the population criteria and release the pending FPS dealers’ margin at the earliest. He also appreciated the DC for organizing the meeting to know the hardships faced by the FPS dealers.
The DC asked the ACCFPSDWA office bearers to submit a written memorandum citing their grievances to be taken up with the higher authorities. He advised the FPS dealers to adhere to the government control orders and guidelines issued from time to time.  He has appealed to all the stakeholders to cooperate in achieving 100% Adhaar seeding of the ration card database in order to avoid curtailment of foodgrains allocation in respect of ICC.  
Earlier, SDFCSO Nabam Anand requested all the FPS dealers to ensure 100% transaction of NFSA foodgrains through ePOS devices only. No foodgrains should be issued to the non-Aadhar seeded old ration card holders and which will be treated invalid. Fresh beneficiaries being raised against those invalid ration cards through urban / rural local bodies. He also informed that Aadhar based ration card holders can avail foodgrains from anywhere in the country.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ADC Talom Dupak and officials of the Food and Civil Supply Department of ICC. DIPRO
