ITANAGAR, Aug 7: As a follow up action to the meeting of Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) with the Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa in New Delhi, a team of officers from Indian Air Force, 11 Airmen Selection Centre, Guwahati interacted with students and faculty members of  Government Dera Natung College, Itanagar, Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic College, Itanagar and Don Bosco College, Jullang, today. 
Director, Information and Public Relations, Obang Tayeng, Director, Higher & Technical Education, Dr. Tayek Talom, Director, Secondary Education Gania Leji, Additional Deputy Commissioner Talom Dupak, EAC Toko Babu along with officers from IPR, DHTE, DSE and District Administration were present during the interaction. 

JWO Surendra Kumar Saxena and Cpl Manish Chaudhary informed that the Indian Air Force is going to conduct recruitment rally for eligible unmarried male candidates of the State to join as Airmen in Group' Y '(Non- Technical) Automobile Technician and Indian Air Force(Police IAF(P)) Trades. The rally is scheduled to be held from September 1 to 15 for entire North East Region at Air Force Station, Borjhar in Guwahati. 

JWO Saxena further said that some of the eligibility criteria are, that the candidate should have passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Examination in any streams/ Subjects approved by Central/ State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Candidates born between 14th July’ 1998 and 26th June’2002 (both days inclusive) are eligible to appear in the Recruitment Rally. The team of officers also exhorted the students to join the Armed Forces. They also requested the students present in the meetings to share the information with their friends and family members, peers and other members of society so that the message reaches every individual. 

The officials from IAF also informed that with the initiative of the  Governor, an Airmen Recruitment Rally would also be held exclusively for the candidates of Arunachal Pradesh in the month of October. 

Chief Secretary Satya Gopal has directed Deputy Commissioners of  Itanagar Capital Complex and Ziro to provide logistic support and assistance to the Indian Air Force representatives for effective dissemination of the recruitment rally.

The team will go to Ziro on August 8 and interact with students of Saint Claret College, Ziro and Indira Gandhi Technological and Medical Science University, Ziro. On August 9 they will be interacting with students of Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 and National Institute of Technology, Yupia amongst other.
