PATUM, Aug 12:  Minister  for Power Tamiyo Taga inaugurated the  high mast  lighting systems  at   Patum bridge,  Pessing Higher Secondary School,  Jomlo CO Office,  Jomlo  Mongku,  Payum,  Jomo and Rumgong   under the SADA 2017-18. The event was attended by the Deputy Commissioner Siang Rahul Singh, Chief Engineer Power Bar Tamo, other HoDs,  PRI leaders and public.

While expressing happiness, the Minister said ‘such lighting systems would be extremely beneficial for the public and also help curb law and order situation. More lighting systems would be installed in other locations of the district like Kaying, Boleng, Riga, Pangkeng, etc.

He also informed that  Subbung Hydro Electric Power Project  will  be made functional very soon and this will help supply electricity in areas like Rumgong, Boleng,  etc. thus ending the dependency on supply of electricity from outside the district.

Speaking on the occasion, Rahul Singh  thanked the Minister for the noble initiative and  further thanked him for pursuing and successfully carrying out various other developmental activities for the greater development of the district.
