PASIGHAT, Sep 27:  As a part of Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 campaign, a free health camp was conducted at Mer village today. Mer village is the remotest village in East Siang district bordering Lower Dibang Valley District, with 162 houses and a population of 1270. The camp was organized by District Health Society East Siang and Arunachal Pradesh Doctors Association. 
During the program Dr. Komling Perme, DMO East Siang district gave a health talk and also enlightened the villagers on social welfare schemes. He also lauded the active participation of self-help group “Sijon” comprising of 11 women during the daylong programme. 
Apart from routine medical check-up, Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.0 was also launched in the village. 147 patients benefited from the camp.
