ITANAGAR, Jun 23:

 

The students union movement of all Arunachal (SUMAA) has appealed to the state government to immediately start recruitment process of more than 2000 police personnel notified in the year 2014-15.

 

In this regards, a team led by its president, Tagru Tame met Director General of Police today and inquired about causes of delay in recruitment already sanctioned for 2000 police personnel posts which is lying vacant in the Home department.

 

During the meeting, Tame shared with DIG the prevailing unemployment problem in the state and apprised him that due to shortage of jobs in the state, many educated youths are disillusioned.

 

 

Meanwhile, SUMAA also appealed to the Principal Secretary, Home, to strictly adhere the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) Rule and maintain 80:20: ratio for APST and general category with an exception in the other below grade jobs like barber, carpenter and urged him to intervene in the sluggish movement of file in the Home and Finance department in order to speed up direct recruitment policy.

 

In addition it also appealed to the Home department to give top priority in safeguarding law and order problems.
