ITANAGAR, Aug 27: In a move to encourage youths toward the country’s top white colour job, Education Minister Honchun Ngandam today officially announced scholarships worth Rs 75 lakh for 75 IAS aspirants being sponsored by Government of Arunachal Pradesh under Chief Minister’s UPSC Combined Civil services coaching scheme to ALS- IAS Coaching Institute of Itanagar branch .
On the occasion, ALS, National Sales Head, Prateek Bhattacharya also announced scholarships worth Rs 85 lakh for 225 students by ALS under the ALS CSR initiative for the youth of Arunachal Pradesh. With the announcement of scholarships worth Rs 1.6 crores, the institute will open the door for at least 300 talented, needy and deserving IAS aspirants of Arunachal Pradesh.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Ngandam appreciated the ALS for this path breaking initiative and urged the youth of Arunachal Pradesh to avail the opportunity and make the State proud in the coming years.
Meanwhile, Bhattacharya also informed that the Mega IAS Scholarship Exam will be conducted on September 2 at 11am in Dera Natung College, Itanagar to select the top 300 students from Arunachal Pradesh who will be trained at ALS IAS Itanagar to compete in UPSC exam next year.
