Itanagar, Nov 30: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. General K.T. Parnaik (Retd.), has extended his warm greetings to the people of the State on the occasion of Indigenous Faith Day. He expressed hope that the day inspires all to preserve and promote the Indigenous faiths and beliefs that have been cherished and passed down through generations by our ancestors.
In his message, the Governor said that Indigenous faiths are the traditional belief systems, practices, and rituals rooted in Indigenous communities' cultures and spiritual traditions. These faiths are often deeply connected to the natural environment, ancestors, and the community’s collective identity. These practices are an integral part of the cultural fabric of the region, celebrating the heritage and values of the indigenous people, he said.
The Governor said that Indigenous Faith Day is a celebration of our rich cultural heritage, strengthening our traditions, customs, and rituals. It highlights the unique identity of our indigenous communities, which have always stood for peace and harmony. The joint celebration of this day by various indigenous faith groups reflects the spirit of unity in diversity, a cornerstone of our society. I am confident that this occasion will motivate us all to work with renewed enthusiasm for the holistic development of Arunachal Pradesh, he said.
On this special day, I join my Indigenous Faith followers in offering prayers to the Almighty, seeking His blessings for peace, prosperity, and happiness for everyone, the Governor said in his message.
