ITANAGAR, Sep 4: Governor BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have conveyed their greetings and good wishes to the teaching community on Teachers’ Day, which commemorates the birth anniversary of former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
“My message today to the teaching community is “shape the character and academic caliber of the students and spark their brain to enable them to change the pattern of life, in society, for better”, the Governor said in his message.
In his message, the Chief Minister paid rich tributes to those in the noble profession of teaching and recalled his past teachers, who sowed the seeds in him to be what he is today.

“The role of teachers cannot be compared to anybody else in life, not even parents. Teachers make us stand on our own feet, infuse in us the confidence to take on the challenges of life and make able citizens out of us. Let’s take a moment out of our busy schedules and pay our respect to our teachers,” he said.
