Governor advises to procure textbooks in advance
ITANAGAR, Sep 3:
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein called on Governor BD Mishra at Raj Bhavan today wherein the duo discussed various developmental issues of the State.
Stating that improving the education sector of the State is his top priority, Mishra stressed on speedy collection and distribution of textbooks. The Governor advised the Deputy Chief Minister to plan in advance for procurement of textbooks for next academic session, so that needy student receives their books at the beginning of their academic session.
While appreciating the Deputy Chief Minister for facilitating in the commencement of the Sainik School by addressing the departmental land issue, the Governor requested him to look into the issue of the State Government’s commitment towards the school.
They also discussed the safety of villagers during the IAF firing in Dollungmukh IAF Range and it was emphasized that the standard operating procedure should meticulously comply with this year. Various Inter State issues and aspirational District, Namsai, which the Governor is scheduled to visit in the second week of September also came up in the discussion.
State Chief Secretary Satya Gopal was also present in the meeting.
