Indian Army conducts ‘Know Your Army’ outreach
ITANAGAR, Jan 9: A workshop titled ‘Transforming Education in Arunachal Pradesh’ was conducted today here at the conference hall of the Civil Secretariat under chairmanship of Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar.
As part of the workshop, a thorough and analytical deliberation was held wherein the Head Teachers from various government schools of Papum Pare, RK Mission Narottam Nagar, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas presented their views and suggestions for transforming the state’s education system. The key topics on which discussions revolved were infrastructure status and requirement, quality of teaching-learning outcome, training of teachers, pedagogy-current status and roadmap, motivation to students and use of new methods for education including technology.
The Chief Secretary informed that the state government is serious and committed to transform the education sector of Arunachal Pradesh and wants to see it as one of the finest in the country by 2022. Interacting with the Deputy Commissioners and DDSEs through videoconferencing, he said the leadership of the Deputy Commissioners will be one of the key factors in achieving the objective of bringing qualitative educational transformation of the state. He further informed the participants that VSAT connection will be provided to 116 schools for imparting education. Speaking on quality education, the CS while urging the participants to make judicious use of the limited resources for optimum results, assured full support from government's end in this regard.
Commissioner Planning P.S. Lokhande and Secretary Education Niharika Rai also spoke on the occasion.
