ITANAGAR, Oct 3: A special puja on the occasion of the 50th foundation day and commencement of golden jubilee celebrations of Ramakrishna Mission school Narottam Nagar was held today.
In its press communiqué, the school management informed that the foundation stone of Ramakrishna Mission Narottam Nagar was laid by K. A. A. Raja, the then advisor to Governor of Assam (later on 1st Lt. Governor of Arunachal Pradesh) on 3rd October 1971.
To mark the eventful completion of 50 years of the historic day, special worship of Bhagavan Sri-Ramakrishna was performed with due solemnity so as to invoke the blessing of the Holy Trio. The monks prayed for all-round development of the institution and its stakeholders at the secondary prayer hall of the institution.
In view of covid-19 related restrictions, apart from the monastic members, only a few staff members were allowed to take part in the ceremony.
As autumn vacation for students commenced on the same day, the students were served with special lunch and thereafter sent home.
With this the golden jubilee celebration of Ramakrishna Mission School, Narottam Nagar has gotten underway. A lot many programmes are likely to take place involving all stakeholders till October 2022 - subject to a reprieve from the Covid Pandemic, stated the release.
