ZIRO, Aug 14: Saint Claret College, Ziro, welcomed its new batch of Claretines by organising the Freshers’ Day 2018. The event culminated in the crowning of Meme Mangphi as Miss Fresher and Binjong Lego as Mr Fresher 2018.

The event was planned and conducted by the Semester III Claretines, who made the freshers feel welcomed through various cultural programs. The Mr and Miss Fresher event was judged through self-introduction, question round, and exhibition of talents by the freshers.

Principal Fr. (Dr.) Allwyn Mendoz in his message urged the freshers to be exemplary students by emulating the example set by the illustrious Claretines and savour the sweetness of academic life at SCCZ. The Freshers Day is an event looked forward to by the entire College. It is a platform through which the Freshers get rid of their inhibitions to blend in with the College community.
