ITANAGAR, Aug 27: The first ever Immanuel Football Tournament (IFT)-2018 organized by the Arunachal Pradesh Christian Revival Church Council-Youth Wing (APCRCC-YW) at the Jollang (Dath) general ground here was kicked-off by chief guest Er. Tomge Ado, Executive Engineer of APPH, PHQ.Bn, Chimpu on Saturday.
A total of 16 teams are representing as many Christian Revival Churches spread in and around the capital complex in the tourney.
The tournament started with a friendly exhibition match between the Organising Committee team and CRC Doimukh youth team, wherein the former was thrashed by the latter by 8 goals to 2. The first official match was played between Gibborim FC (CRC Akashdeep) and CRC Banderdewa FC which the latter won by 5-4 in the tie-breaker. The teams from CRC Itanagar and CRC, Naharlagun have also edged past their opponents in the knock out stage.
