ITANAGAR, Aug 20: A massive fire engulfed 6 OBT type rented rooms including a shop in the residential area of Dokum Colony here on Monday evening.
No casualties have been reported but properties worth lakhs of the tenant were lost in the fire including documents and books of students. Onlookers claimed that an LPG cylinder also exploded. Meanwhile, the owner of the house has been identified as Tai Tasuk.
“As soon as we got the information about the incident, members from the Fire and Emergency team rushed to the spot with fire tenders ,” informed officer Incharge-fire station, Itanagar Koj Taro. He further added the cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained.
