ROING, Aug 29: A day-long financial literacy and awareness programme (FLAP) was organized by Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank, Roing branch in Dambuk, Lower Dibang Valley district. Around 60 participants comprising mainly farmers and SHGs were present in the programme. The programme was also attended by District Development Manager, NABARD and branch manager of Apex Bank, Dambuk branch.
PB Chetry, branch manager, APRB Roing, briefed the gathering about the different types of accounts that can be maintained in a bank. He also explained in detail about several benefits that can be availed by a customer having a bank account. He also spoke on Social security schemes viz. PMJDY, PMSBY, PMJJBY, APY.
Nitya Mili, DDM NABARD informed the gathering about the genesis of NABARD and the various interventions of NABARD in Arunachal Pradesh.
Shankar Jaishi, branch manager, Apex Bank, Dambuk explained about financial inclusion and financial planning.
