NAMSAI, Jul 30: President of Tai-Khampti Development Society (TKDS) Chow Siharaja Choutang flagged off the month-long campaign on education and health survey in Namsai district organized by All Namsai District Students Union (ANDSU) here on Monday.
Addressing the gathering, Siharaja appreciated the students union for initiating such a programme for the welfare of the student community. There are many problems related to education and health in the district, which with this approach can be minimized to some extent, he added.
Though the student union cannot bring solution to the problems they can at least highlight the problems in the right perspective at proper platforms, the TKDS president added.
Meanwhile, president of ANDSU Chow Jailai Manlai said that though some schools in Namsai might be good in terms of quality education and infrastructure, their motive is to get into the remotest areas of the district and find out the problems faced by students as well as teachers.
Recently books were provided in many schools of the district. “We have to find out that how many students got the books and incentives provided by the state government,” he said.
The month long survey that commenced today will conclude on August 25 next.
