AALO, Aug 27: The general body meeting of District Tourism Development Council was held under the chairmanship of West Siang Deputy Commissioner Sode Potom last week.
The DC asked the DTO to invite all persons whom the tourist assets have been leased out to settle problems like non-deposit of security money and monthly/yearly rents which are important sources of revenue for the state. Sitting across the table with concerned persons operating the tourism assets can only give a tangible solution to such issues, he added.
The DTO Rita Yorung highlighted the ongoing, completed and leased out tourism assets in the district in detail.
The meeting revealed that most of the schemes launched in the district were directly funded to individuals and status of few assets could not be identified clearly as proposals were not routed through District Tourism Development Council.
The meeting also held a threadbare discussion on newly formed Arunachal Tourism, River Rine festivals to be celebrated and other tourism promotional issues.
