TEZU, Dec 9:

Minister (AH, Vety, DD and Art & Culture) Dr. Mohesh Chai while addressing a huge gathering of people belonging to the workers community, said that the time is great as various labour rights are being discussed and addressed at the state and central level.

 

Highlighting more than 100 flagship programmes for the welfare of economically backward and villagers as well as farmers by the Prime Minister, Dr. Chai stressed on the need for their implementation and urged workers to take advantage of them.

 

He said that all schemes including SADA, MLADF,  departmental scheme, NEC schemes and all are uploaded in the website and the state government led by Pema Khandu is maintaining transparency  and accountability.

Dr. Chai said that ‘team Arunachal’ and ‘Arunachal Rising’ would only be possible with coordinated effort by one and all.

 

Speaking on need to develop work culture, the Minister said that

Citing that few do not discharge their duties but only draw salaries the Minister stressed on the need to develop work culture and appealed all to shoulder their responsibility for the development of the state.

Referring to the memorandums, Dr. Chai said that he as a representative of the government will disuss with the Chief Minister and will raise the issue in the cabinet meeting.

Guest of Honour Bharat Mazdoor Sangh National General Secretary, Vrijesh Upadhuay in his address said that any economic development depends on labour and workers.

Underscoring the importance of workers the world over, he said that issues which are present needs to be resolved.

‘Demand for employment is increasing so we need to take a turn towards self employment including skill employment́,’ he said.

He further appealed the workers community to discuss the demands at a proper platform with the government, asserting that there is a solution to all problems.

APB & OCWWB Chairman and labour leader, Jalley Sonam in his speech elaborated the journey of the labour union in the state for the welfare of the labour and workers community.

 

A 13-point memorandum was submitted by APWU, General Secretary Techi Tara on the occasion which sought revision and fixation of wages according to seniority and qualification basis etc.

State BJP president Tapir Gao, BMS (organising Secretary) North East Sunil Kirwai, National Executive Committee Member N Tomba Singh, APWU state President Tadung Yangfo, APWU Zonal Secretary  S. Khrotong, APWU Lohit district President Yalim Ama,

And several leaders of Bharatiya Majdoor Sangh Assam Unit were present on the occasion.
