ITANAGAR, Jun 6:A joint inspection was carried out by the District Magistrate, Capital Complex and Executive Engineer PWD (Highway) at the Karsingsa Block Point under NH 415 where a portion of chainage no. 52.7 was washed away due to torrential rain. It was found out that if incessant rain continues for some more days the whole road is likely to be washed away. As of now only one vehicle at a time can pass and the frequent heavy vehicular movement may further result into curving of road.

Therefore, considering the vulnerability of situations and heavy traffic movement at NH 415 an order was issued by District Magistrate, Capital Complex under Disaster Management Act 2005 No. 53 of 2005 to rebuild the road by demolishing the tourist lodge boundary wall for the time being as temporary measure to immediately restore two way traffic. This arrangement has been made as it is not technically feasible to construct the retaining wall for the Highway that has caved in during the monsoon season, hence the temporary arrangement can only be made through the by breaking the boundary wall of the tourist lodges.

DC capital complex Prince Dhawan, further directed the EE (PWD) Highway to re-construct the boundary wall in the same place as soon as the retaining wall for the highway is completed and normal two way traffic is restored.
