YUPIA, Jun 1:A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on today at DMO Office Chamber between District Health Society Papum Pare District, Yupia and private hospitals like Rama Krishna Mission Hospital, Itanagar & Niba Hospital Papu Nallah, Naharlagun for the accreditation of Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY)& Family Planning.

JSY integrates the cash assistance with antenatal care during the pregnancy period, institutional care 
during delivery and immediate post- partum period in health centre by establishing a system of 
coordinated care by Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA).

As per MoU, DHS Papum Pare will provide 50% advance payment for 100 deliveries that is Rupees 50,000 (Fifty Thousand) each and it has been remitted in their respective account through cheque.
DMO Dr (Mrs) Tasso Kampu who was instrumental in making Private Hospitals signing the MoU said 
that it is the historic day for Papum Pare District that accreditation was made with private 
hospitals in the district for implementing the scheme under Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) and family 
planning which will play a vital role in motivating pregnant women for institutional deliveries through 
cash assistance to mother and ASHAs of the district & state.
