PASIGHAT, Jan 24: While visiting the Borguli Wildlife Range of D. Ering Wildlife Sanctuary here on Saturday, Indian Naval Commander, KBS Bhadana from Mumbai Naval Dock said that the Daying Ering Wildlife Sanctuary could become a major wildlife tourism hotspot of the country in the coming years after witnessing the riverine island sanctuary’s rich grassland, lush forest and rivers.
The Naval Commander who visited the sanctuary with his wife Sunita Bhadana, who is also an Air Force veteran heaped praises about their experience in the visitors book.
During an interaction with the field staff of the Borguli wildlife range, Range Officer, Naning Perme, informed the guests that nearly a hundred elephants are in the sanctuary now including the newly born calves. He also informed that the sanctuary houses more than 70 numbers of wild buffaloes.
Bhadana, who has come to inspect the Sainik School, Niglok under Ruksin Sub-Division here in East Siang District also asserted that students of the school could benefit through a nature trail and educate themselves about wildlife and conservation.
Bhadana was accompanied by Divisional Forest Officer, T. Taga, State Wildlife Board Member, M. Tayeng and Range Officer, N. Perme.
