PASIGHAT, May 29: A team of Adi Students’ Union (AdiSU) led by its President, Mida Pertin met Deepak Shinde, Dy. Commissioner, Lower Dibang Valley District today and submitted a two point memorandum seeking deployment of CRPF personnel to fend the inter-state boundary at Shantipur Check Post and to implement the ILP provision effectively.
Expressing happiness at the opening of the ‘Sadiya-Dhola Bridge’ which will spawn many important developments in the district, Pertin however said that since the bridge opening a huge influx of visitors to the district has been noticed. Many visitors are found entering into the district illegally, without permit.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner, Deepak Shinde has assured the union to look into the matter immediately, informed Pertin to this reporter this evening.
