ITANAGAR, Jul 26: The All India Radio and Doordarshan programme cadres are on a war path against the policies of Prasar Bharati. 

According to the employees, they are being denied promotion for the last 25 to 30 years and non-professionals are being brought from outside to head key programme posts instead of promoting and filling the posts with the deserving officers of the cadre.

To extend solidarity with this protest along with the rest of the Doordarshan Kendras of the country, the programme personnel of the state unit of Doordarshan Kendra, Itanagar held a meeting on Wednesday as mark of protest. A meeting was also held against Prasar Bharati today during the lunch hour. The protest will continue till the demands of Doordarshan and All India Radio Programme personnel are fulfilled and will continue till end of this week.
