Yachuli, Sep 29: In a major step towards strengthening disaster preparedness, nine volunteers from Keyi Panyor have successfully completed an intensive 18-day Training of Trainers (ToT) on Disaster Response.
Shweta Nagarkoti Mehta, Deputy Commissioner of Keyi Panyor interacted with the volunteers after the completion of the programme and congratulated them on their achievement. She lauded their enthusiasm to serve society and highlighted the importance of their role as Master Trainers.
The DC noted that the newly trained volunteers will be instrumental in conducting disaster awareness programmes across schools, offices, and villages thereby spreading a culture of preparedness. She further urged them to remain steadfast during real-life disaster situations stressing that their expertise will greatly aid the District Administration in ensuring a timely and effective response.
Encouraging them to lead by example, the DC called upon the volunteers to inspire the wider community through their dedication and service.
With their advanced training and the DC’s guidance, the nine volunteers are now ready to serve as key facilitators in building a safer and more disaster-resilient Keyi Panyor.
