ITANAGAR, Jun 12:Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex, Prince Dhawan, today called upon the people to make Itanagar free from the menace of child labour.  He also spoke of the importance of freeing children engaged in work and getting them back to school. 

He said this while flagging off a motorcycle rally organized by the Royal Arunachal Riders on the occasion of International Day against Child Labour today at Don Bosco Youth Centre.

While appreciating the work carried out by Childline, Dhawan cautioned its staffers to be alert and sensitive to the issue of child labour and to try to get as many children as possible to educational institutions. 

Earlier, while welcoming the guests, Fr. CC Jose, Rector, Don Bosco College, spoke of the importance of the occasion and the commitment that Don Bosco institutions have towards less fortunate children. 

Fr. Cyriac, Director, DBYC, Kimey Aya IPS, SP, Fire and Emergency Services and Tanyang Laling, General Manager, The Arunachal Pradesh State Cooperative Apex Bank also interacted with the Royal Arunachal Riders on the occasion.
