ITANAGAR, Jun 1: Deputy Commissioner, Itanagar Capital Complex, Prince Dhawan today conducted field visit to assess and resolve the parking issues of the state capital.

In order to improve the present traffic scenario, the DC directed the CMEO to take over the LMV parking building for immediate operationalization of the same for parking of 4 wheelers as well as 2 wheelers. He further directed to operationalize roof type cafeteria at the said LMV parking building. The DC informed that more parking spaces for Autos in front of the LMV parking building just near the Directorate of Audit and Pension will be created to ease traffic congestion. The DC further directed to shift the Tata mobile parking in front of the Panjabi Daba to the space just inside the IG Park, Itanagar.  

The Deputy Commissioner informed that, steps for immediate operationalization of ISBT at Lekhi will be taken so that present Bus parking at Ganga Bus Terminal can be shifted to the ISBT at Lekhi and thereafter, the vacant Ganga Bus Station shall be used for parking of small private vehicles. The parking space developed by the AAPPTF at Chimpu will be operationalized latest by June 30, 2017. More parking areas were identified during the inspection and shall be operational soon.  

The EAC (Itanagar), EAC (Jud), CMEO, DTO (MV), SDPO (Itanagar), Member Secretary (APMC), DFO (SF) and OC (Traffic) accompanied the DC during the inspection.
