ITANAGAR, Aug 24: As per the announcement made by  Chief Minister Pema Khandu of constituting a State Selection Board (SSB) in his Independence Day speech on the occasion of 72nd Independence Day, the Chief Secretary  Satya Gopal convened a meeting of Commissioner and Secretaries here today.
In the meeting, the CS conveyed the message of  Chief Minister that the bedrock for bringing development of any state is putting right people at the right place. 
“To achieve this, there is a need of having free and fair recruitment process. The State Government has taken all efforts to bring systemic changes in the recruitment processes in the state which will transform the governance in the state in the years to come.
In the ensuing Assembly session, the Bill (of SSB) will be introduced in the ensuing Assembly Sessions and constitution of SSB will be decided thereafter”, informed the CS.
The decision of constituting the SSB has been made at the highest levels to ensure that only the right, meritorious and deserving candidates are duly appointed by following transparent recruitment procedure, he informed.
Meanwhile, he asked the concerned Heads of Departments present in the meeting to hold recruitment of Group ‘C’ Staff which will be made only through the SSB and withdraw all the advertisements forthwith which have been published and wherein admit cards have not been issued.
