ITANAGAR, Aug 19: The Career Guidance Cell of Nyishi Elite Society conducted an orientation cum counselling programme for APPSCCE Prelims qualified candidates on Saturday at Dorjee Khandu Memorial Conventional Hall here. A host of resource persons motivated the aspirants on various aspects of the examinations especially the mains.
Dr Tapasya Raghav, Special Secretary, Health cum Director, National Health Mission, Government of Arunachal Pradesh and recently designated as Deputy Commissioner, Namsai, Lower Dibang Valley District, deliberated on “Understanding civil services: An overview”.
Several APCS officers serving in various capacities across the state also briefed the aspirants on facets of the examination such as subject choice including handling examination pressure.
Earlier, while welcoming resource persons and aspirants, Nangram Pingkap, Member Secretary, NES-CGC informed that this time more than 200 candidates from the community have cleared Prelims and he is fully optimistic that the striking rate will be much better in comparison to earlier APCS Examinations.
To encourage the young and budding aspirants, the NES Central Executive Members headed by Tarh Tabin, Vice President (East) and Heri Maring, General Secretary, participated in the programme wholeheartedly.
In his concluding remarks, Dr N.T. Rikam, Chairman, NES-CGC spelt out the objectives of organising such programmes and asked the aspirants to make the best use of the opportunity. He also informed that the NES will continue to strive for guiding and counselling the youths of the community for a better future.
