ITANAGAR, Jun 18:  A coordination meeting of head of government education institutions under Block Education Officer and Urban Resource Centre Coordinator Naharlagun was held on Saturday last. At least 30 head institutions attended the daylong meeting.

While presiding over the meeting, BEO cum URCC, Naharlagun NH Sera emphasized the gathering on the importance of Aadhaar enrolment and opening of bank accounts for students as per the directives of the higher authority. He also urged the head of the institutions to take strict action against the habitual absentee teachers as per applicable rules.

Impressing on the importance of cooperation and coordination to achieve the goal of education, the BEO also suggested the members to adopt professional oriented behaviour and search out innovative ideas beyond existing system in imparting quality education.

Meanwhile, the house has expressed its resentment over the delay in supply of text books and sought intervention of the education department. Boundary problems of schools and police patrolling in sensitive location nearby schools were some of the other issues also flagged by the head of institutions.
