Indian Army conducts ‘Know Your Army’ outreach
ITANAGAR, Apr 6: Governor Brig. (Dr) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) has called upon the state’s youths to imbibe the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation and come up with innovative ideas to address the pressing problems of Arunachal Pradesh.
The Governor made the appeal today while interacting with a delegation of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) which called on him at the Raj Bhavan. While advising the youths to pursue the aim of building an inclusive society that would promote development and ease of living for all through technology intervention and transparency in governance, he asked them to be part of the ‘Start-up’ and ‘Make in India’ programmes for realisation of ‘Aatma Nirbhar Arunachal Pradesh’. The youths must become ‘agents of change’ and take lead in addressing the challenges such as illiteracy, economic inequalities and social discrimination in society, the Governor stated. Being the youth wing of the ruling political party of the state, it must ensure that the fruits of state and central flagship programmes reach the person in the last rung of society and to the remotest village of the state, he said. Appreciating the good gesture and mission of the delegation members, the Governor reminded them that the best fulfilment of the mission would lie in those who are eligible to join the Indian Army.
Earlier, a 15-member delegation of the State BJYM, led by its State President Ram Tajo submitted a resolution in honour of the soldiers who fought bravely in the Ladakh face-off with China last year. PRO Raj Bhavan
