BENGALURU, May 22: Chief Minister Pema Khandu was accorded a traditional welcome with chanting of mantras and drum beats on his visit to the Art of Living (AOL) International headquarters here today. 

The Chief Minister visited the Shri Shri Gurukulam, the Vedic Heritage Campus and interacted with the faculty of the Ved Vignan Maha Vidyapeeth. He also visited the Shri Shri Gaushala, where more than 600 breed of indigenous cows are being raised. 

He also paid a visit to AOL founder, Shri Shri Ravi Shankar and offered statue of Lord Buddha as mark of respect. 

The Chief Minister visited Shri Shri College of Ayurvedic Science and Research Hospital, situated near the AOL campus. In his visit to the hospital, he met people from the North East who had gathered to welcome him. 

Earlier the Chief Minister was taken on a tour of AOL founder's life history and his works presented through a video show. 

Concluding his visit, the Chief Minister joined Shri Shri Ravi Shankar for satsang, a musical evening, which was followed by Sahaj Samadhi Meditation programme. 

Speaking in the event, the CM thanked AOL founder for contributing to Arunachal's development by opening several schools across the state.
