 ITANAGAR,May 29: Chief Minister Pema Khandu has appealed people of the state to remain cautious and alert in the backdrop of the cyclone Mora that will hit the region during the next few days.

Khandu said the Govt of India has issued a warning and alerted all the concerned state governments. Taking the issue seriously Khandu has sent directives to the department of disaster management and the police force to stay on high alert to meet any eventualities. District administrations have also been alerted on similar lines.

"I appeal my fellow citizens not to panic but maintain extreme caution during the next three days. Please avoid vulnerable places and restrain from venturing out during heavy rains. I pray the Almighty that nothing bad happens and the cyclone passes away eventually," he said.
