ITANAGAR, Apr 29: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday took out a massive rally in order to pass a strong message to China that Arunachal will never ever be a part of China and will always remain an integral part of India.

Scores of BJP karyakartas from Bharatiya Yuva Morcha, Minority Morcha, Mahila Morcha led by BJP, President Tapir Gao along with other executive members of BJP gathered at around 8 am this morning at Tennis Court IG park.

Chanting anti-China slogans, the protesters marched on foot from IG Park to Raj Bhawan road, where the protesters also torched the effigy of Chinese president Xi Jinping.

Interacting with the reporters at the venue, Gao ridiculed the territorial claim made by China and stated that there is no legal ground for China to claim Arunachal, which is an integral part of India since time immemorial.

Also there is no logic in the claim made by China, asserted Gao adding that everybody knows that Arunachal is an important part of India and assigning Chinese names to few parts for Arunachal does not make the territorial claims legal.

Gao went on to say that Arunachal was never a part of Tibet as record carried through generations by forefathers itself speaks volumes that before China annexed Tibet in 1950, our forefathers had maintained a cordial trade relationship with Tibet, but never has shared the indigenous land with Tibetans.

‘China after forcefully capturing Tibet, now wants to capture Arunachal Pradesh too. China got no authority to claim Arunachal and we will never allow our precious land to be occupied by outsiders,’ added Gao.

China is trying to reorganize Tibet adding Arunachal on the map that will never succeed, said Gao asserting that Arunachalese will never bow down to China and will remain proud son of soil of India.

‘Our fight will go on, both in the district and village level too. We will keep fighting against the illegitimate move,’ Gao further told reporters while appealing China to desist from proceeding with such illegal outlook in near future.

China had earlier on April 19 last had announced ‘standardized’ official names for six places in Arunachal Pradesh, few days after lodging protest over HH Dalai Lama’s visit to the frontier state.
