Aalo, Aug 26: The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), West Siang organized a monthlong dissemination awareness programme and campaign on POCSO Act, 2012 and PCMA, 2006 covering 10 educational institutions in the district from July 24 to August 24 last.
In the programme, videos on various critical provisions of the POCSO Act, 2012 and PCMA, 2006 were displayed in every school along with orientation of these Acts were given by the Resource person Adv. Marphy Ete, member JJB, Adv. Mijum Doke, Legal cum Probation Officer and Ms. Mongam Nomuk, Counsellor DCPU. In addition to this, hoarding on Child Helpline number 1098 and Good Touch & Bad Touch were installed in the schools in order to disseminate safeguards available for protection of child rights.
