Anini, Dec 3: Chief Secretary Manish Kumar Gupta, accompanied by Gopala Krishnan, Chairman, Staff Selection Board, New Delhi, Pawan Kumar Sain, Chief Electoral Officer, and Goli Angu, Joint Director, Industries, visited Dibang Valley District on Wednesday to review the progress of major developmental initiatives. They were joined by Deputy Commissioner Bekir Nyorak, Superintendent of Police Ringu Ngupok, and various Heads of Departments.
During the district tour, the Chief Secretary carried out a comprehensive assessment of ongoing projects, with particular emphasis on flagship initiatives under the Vibrant Village Programme (VVP). He inspected key works being executed by multiple departments and stressed the importance of timely completion, quality assurance, and effective inter-departmental coordination to ensure meaningful outcomes.
A day prior to the field inspection, a detailed review meeting was held, during which Deputy Commissioner Bekir Nyorak presented an extensive PowerPoint briefing on developmental progress across the district. The Chief Secretary offered a series of directives aimed at strengthening implementation, enhancing monitoring mechanisms, and improving administrative convergence to accelerate development and improve service delivery.
As part of the programme, the Chief Secretary also interacted with personnel of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) at Bruni, the last motorable point of Dibang Valley. He commended their dedication and deliberated on issues pertaining to connectivity, infrastructure, and local-level coordination in the remote border region.
While reviewing VVP and other major projects, the Chief Secretary reiterated that all completed assets must be formally handed over to their respective beneficiary departments to ensure proper utilisation, maintenance, and long-term public benefit.
