Chongkhow, Aug 10: The 85 year old chief of  Chongkhow, Chatai Lowang Wangham under Wakka administrative circle of Longding district passed away this morning after prolonged illness.

It is worth mentioning that late Wangham served as GB for more than 15 years in addition to holding the role of Chieftainship as Chief of Chongkhow. He was acquainted and cooperative with government administration in Wakka circle and was a good decision maker.

The last rites of the late chief will be performed on August 11as per Wancho tradition in presence of nine chiefs of  Wancho villages and Wakka-sha Chief from Myanmar.
